From the south west (Carlisle)

The distance from the end of the M6 (junction 44) is about 55 miles (88 km). Leave the M6 at Junction 44 and follow the A7 Historic Borders Route to Hawick. There, follow the A698 towards Kelso. Heiton is 18 miles (29 km) from Hawick. You will note a right turn signed "Morebattle" just opposite the Teviot Smokery. This is just 2.0 miles (3.2 km) from Goldilands. Follow the wall of the Roxburgh Hotel estate and eventually you come to a sharp left bend followed immediately by a sharp right bend and the sign marking the village of Heiton. Here is a lane to the left signed for the Roxburgh Hotel. Take this and within 20 metres turn right into the entrance to Goldilands.

From the south east (Newcastle)

The distance from Newcastle is about 65 miles (104 km) via the A696 through Kielder Forest Park. After passing through Jedburgh, you will join the A698 from Hawick. Proceed towards Kelso. You will note a right turn signed "Morebattle" just opposite the Teviot Smokery. This is just 2.0 miles (3.2 km) from Goldilands. The distance from Newcastle is about 76 miles (121 km) via the A697 and Coldstream. Proceed to Kelso, and take the A698 towards Hawick. After 2 miles, you will come to the village of Heiton. Just as the houses end, the road bends to the left and there is a lane to the right, signed for the Roxburgh Hotel. Take this and within 20 metres turn right into the entrance to Goldilands.
