From the north (Edinburgh)

The distance from Edinburgh is about 46 miles (73 km) via the A697 and A6089 and the centre of Kelso. Take the A698 towards Hawick. After 2 miles, you will come to the village of Heiton. Just as the houses end, the road bends to the left and there is a lane to the right, signed for the Roxburgh Hotel. Take this and within 20 metres turn right into the entrance to Goldilands.

The distance from Edinburgh is about 50 miles (80km) via the A68, through St. Boswells. Take the A68 southwards through Lauder, Earlston and continue to the village of St. Boswells. There are roads to the left marked for Kelso, but ignore these and stay on the A68. Some 5.5 miles (8.8 km) further on, this road joins the road from Hawick and becomes the A698. Proceed for about another 4 miles (6.5 km), and you will note a right turn signed "Morebattle" just opposite the Teviot Smokery. This is just 2.0 miles (3.2 km) from Goldilands. Follow the wall of the Roxburgh Hotel estate and eventually you come to a sharp left bend followed immediately by a sharp right bend and the sign marking the village of Heiton. Here is a lane to the left signed for the Roxburgh Hotel. Take this and within 20 metres turn right into the entrance to Goldilands.
